Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas – A Review

Where to begin? Was it the people, the place, the learning or all of the above? Yes, most definitely all of the above. I had the privilege and the pleasure of attending my first in person Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas last week.

The 2021 Virtuoso Travel Week was held virtually and in-person in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It was exhilarating, exhausting, exciting and mind-blowing – all simultaneously. What could be better for a travel junkie like myself than a full blown everything about everything luxury travel conference? Actually, it was much more than a conference. Being that this year was smaller than year’s past I had the opportunity to meet with suppliers, partners, colleagues and others on a one on one basis.

Fortunately, many of the companies and hotels that are based in Europe, South America, Asia and Australia/New Zealand have representatives that live and work in the US so I was able to meet with them also.

Just a few of my wonderful colleagues at Virtuoso.

So, what’s your pleasure? Adventure, expedition, luxury, small ship cruising, safaris, cultural experiences, family, or celebration travel? Believe it or not, I have connections and relationships in all those arenas. My own personal bent is toward the adventurous, experiential, cultural and expedition type travel, and what I learned in those areas was exciting and energizing. I can’t wait to share with you – feel free to reach out so we can have a chat about the amazing possibilities.

One of the highlights of the trip was an evening at Allegiant Stadium, the new home to the Las Vegas Raiders. We got on buses at the Bellagio for the short trip to the stadium where we walked in from the tunnel! Pretty exciting perspective and to see the stadium from the field was AMAZING! There was food and drink galore, but not the fancy stuff, which was a nice departure from the two days prior. Food trucks and the caterer for the stadium provided us with plenty of unhealthy, but yummy choices. We were able to have photos taken, try our skills at catching and kicking and just enjoy a fun and casual evening.

In short, Virtuoso Travel Week for me was like being the proverbial kid in the candy store. I can’t wait to share with you – don’t be shy about asking!
